OccupyKC Camp - March 28

March 30, 2012 marked the 6 month anniversary of Occupy Kansas City.

Occupy Kansas City started on September 30, 2011 at a public park situated between  the 10th District Federal Reserve building and the World War I Museum and Liberty Memorial.  After 6 full months of occupying the public space, OccupyKC became the longest continuous public occupation in the country.

To commemorate the occasion, Kansas City’s Parks & Rec decided to clear the camp of all structures and unclaimed garbage, in preparation for upcoming events and park usage as the weather continues to warm up.  In just a few hours and a few dumptrucks, the camp was cleared of all tents and camping equipment.

Occupy London #OccupyLSX Evicted from St. Paul’s Cathedral this Morning

Member of OccupyLSXIn the early hours of the morning Occupy LSX was evicted from their encampment by St Paul’s Cathedral. This, following the Court of Appeal ruling last Wednesday, 22 February.  The Occupy London School of Ideas in Islington—who was still going through the court process, were also evicted in the early morning sweep.

Occupy Wall Street Raided!

OWS Raided November 15 2011

In the early hours of Nov 15th, OWS Liberty Square—Zuccoti Park was raided. This was all captured with  Livestream  and UStream, Mainstream and Independent media have all been covering this story.

The mayor’s office sent a message via twitter at 1:19 a.m. saying: Occupants of Zuccotti should temporarily leave and remove tents and tarps. Protesters can return after the park is cleared.”
