Occupy the Bridge in KC was Awesome!

Friday, 18 November, 2011 in Occupy KC News, Updates

Occupy KC joined cities across the nation and world, celebrating an International Day of Action.

Here in Kansas City, Occupy the Bridge brought thousands of commuters a message as they passed under a number of bridges in Kansas City in need of repair. (The largest of these Rallies was on the I-70 bridge at Prospect.) The message: This is an Economic Emergency. The infrastructure of the country is decaying. The much needed jobs in our nation can be filled rebuilding our country, rebuilding our communities. Occupy KC was joined by local unions and local residents of Kansas City for this event.

17 November. International Day in History

Thursday, 17 November, 2011 in Occupy KC News, Updates

Today there is Solidarity across the Nation and Across the Globe. Today is the two month anniversary of the beginning of Occupy Wall Street; but it is so much more.

On November 17, Revolutionaries, Students, and Unions organize in Solidarity not just with one another—but in memory of the Events that have passed this day in History—a day marked with Revolution and it’s attack by the State and those in power.
