May Day Rally – Kansas City Board of Trade

On May Day, Occupy Kansas City will gather at the JC Nichols fountain on the plaza at 12:30PM in preparation to pay a visit to the Kansas City Board of Trade, drawing attention to the commoditization of food that negatively impacts the hungry and poor. We then, in solidarity with 115 other cities, will engage the people through educational outreach about the importance of May Day, the Haymarket massacre, and the importance of the General Strike.

Occupy San Diego | Felony Charges. WTF?

According to this article on DailKos, Felony charges are being laid on individuals arrested in San Diego for Mic Checking. That’s right, arrested and charged with felonies for Mic Checking. Wow, Freedom of Speech is so very important to the Supreme Court (if you are a listener to corporate ads, they really want to protect your right to hear lies) that they obviously missed this one. Should we give Justice Roberts a call—I’m sure he’ll see this as an oversight, concerned as he is with our freedoms. This is crazy. read on
