FFA & Occupy KC Rise Like Lions Film Screening
FFA & Occupy KC Present: ‘Rise Like Lions’

Today, Saturday March 3rd, Occupy KC and KC Films For Action will host a screening of the documentary film ‘Rise Like Lions: OWS and the Seeds of Revolution.’ The film follows the ‘Occupy’ movement from its beginnings to where it may be headed in the future. The screening will be held at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church (3800 Troost Ave, Second Floor) at 7PM. There will be a brief discussion panel with various activists/occupiers from the KC area after the film. The film screening is FREE and open to everyone, although since we are trying to raise much needed funds for future actions and big plans, a $5 donation is appreciated. Please come and learn more about this pervasive but enigmatic movement. See you there!

Third Occupy KC GA (online) September 28 2001

Wednesday, 28 September, 2011 in GA Minutes, Occupy KC News, Updates

In the beginning, there was a connection of people in the Kansas City area who had heard of what was going on in NYC at OWS, and in cities across the world, and wanted to be a part of what they knew would be a global phenomena.

These first four Pirate Pad docs were to be the first semi-official General Assemblies, sorting out who, what, where, when and how. Look at how far the Occupation has grown. Incredible!
