Occupy the Midwest

Occupy Kansas City has endorsed the Occupy the Midwest regional conference and several Occupiers from Kansas City are participating. The conference is being held to coordinate and plan among the regional Occupy movements from various cities, to learn from each other, take action, and discuss how to move forward.

General Assemblies will be held, in addition to direct actions and educational workshops.

In the beginning, there was a connection of people in the Kansas City area who had heard of what was going on in NYC at OWS, and in cities across the world, and wanted to be a part of what they knew would be a global phenomena.

These first four Pirate Pad docs were to be the first semi-official General Assemblies, sorting out who, what, where, when and how. Look at how far the Occupation has grown. Incredible!
